Building An Intentional Wardrobe… (New?… Start Here)

INTENTIONAL WARDROBE

Let’s start a series for building an Intentional Wardrobe. Building an Intentional Wardrobe is the process of perfecting your closet and maintaining it over time so that it works for you and your lifestyle. This sounds like something we would all LOVE to do, right? Many of us want to, but have no idea where to start or what steps to take. But what’s the point of building an intentional wardrobe, you ask? The goal is a wardrobe that you can easily navigate, full of pieces you love and are able to mix and match. I’ve learned so much about having and maintaining a functional closet and developing my style, it’s absolutely freeing. I just had to share with you in hopes that this can put you on the right track!

Take Care of You

Women have a tendency to put themselves last on the list of care and time. We get married, have kids or get a job and suddenly everything goes ahead of our needs. Not because we’ve lost our sense of style, but because we just don’t make the time and trying to figure out our wardrobe takes time and effort we don't put at the top of our priority list. I am a firm believer of a little “me” time. Do I mean this in a selfish way? NO! I just think that we can not care for others if we are not caring for ourselves, and we HAVE to make time to do that.

We’ll be working our way through the steps one at a time. This is the perfect time for refreshing your closet and your style. Over the next few weeks I’ll go through five steps with you, sharing tips, tricks and ideas for how you can organize and edit your existing wardrobe, develop your personal style, choose a palette and focus your shopping. Resulting in you looking and feeling your best!
