Sacrifice for Beauty...?
You don't have to sacrifice your health to use products that work.
For the past 4 years I've been searching for products that were clean, safe, and effective. While I found a couple of companies that were clean, the products didn't always work for me. Also, it's a little frustrating to piece together products and hope they work well together. Some of the companies I found with good product that work: The All Natural Face , Alaffia , and Everyone just to name a few.
Trying to find the right shade for natural makeup is probably the hardest for me. There are so many shades of brown and many companies just don't honor those different shade, clean or not. Foundation, concealer, mascara and brow filler are really all that I need. I'm lucky if I can find a mattifying powder, so that I'm not shining like a lighthouse. If I can get blush, shadow, and a good lipstick, that's just the icing on the cake.
Foundations are usually too yellow, red or orange for my complexion. I end up buying two to blend and make a shade that is close enough to what I need. When I discovered The All Natural Face, I was estatic! I couldn't believe the variety of shade Crystal provided, and the fact that they were clean made it even more perfect.
Many people resist going clean just for the mere fact of cost. Not that the products have to be pricey, but finding out everything in your cabinets, that you just bought, is filled with harmful chemicals can be pricey! Especially if you JUST refilled everything.
One of the things that I've been doing over the years is moving towards clean. I DID NOT go clean cold turkey... and I'm still cleaning out some of my not-so-clean beauty items.
While I still have product, I research a clean alternative, so that when the container is empty and it's time to refill, I just buy the new clean product. It takes a little longer but I never claimed to be 100% clean... I'm clean-ish!
Now that I've found Beautycounter, that research time will be cut down significantly. They sell ALL THE THINGS!
Since I've learned how to build a regimen that works for me, by learning about my skin and my skin's needs, BEAUTYCOUNTER seems like a great fit!
This company is the REAL DEAL! And honestly, you might already be hip to the company... I could be late to the game (per usual), with doing all of the research.
There are several reasons, aside from being clean, that I chose this company. The biggest reason is the opportunity to teach and advocate all things clean beauty. Did you know that the European Union has banned or partially restricted 1,400 chemicals in personal care products? The U.S.? 30... 30!
Beautycounter? 1,800! They are setting the standard in clean beauty, y'all.
This company advocates for getting clean beauty in the hands of everyone, using higher standards... and I'm ALL about that life.
